Description

This course provides information on the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) of 1993 which provides eligible employees with the right to take up to 12 weeks of unpaid leave for family and medical reasons while protecting their job during their absence. Healthcare administrators need to understand and comply with these regulations to further promote a balance of work and family responsibilities by allowing employees to take time off for events like the birth or adoption of a child, caring for a seriously ill family member, or their own serious health condition.
