Description
The American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED and Bloodborne Pathogens course is delivered in a blended learning format, combining flexible online instruction with a hands-on in-person skills session. This course is ideal for parents, teachers, childcare providers, healthcare professionals, and workplace responders who need to confidently handle medical emergencies for both adults and children, while also understanding how to respond safely to bloodborne pathogen exposure.
Certification:
Participants who successfully complete both the online and in-person components will receive a Red Cross Course Completion Card, valid for two years.
Part 1: Online Course
After registration and payment, participants receive access to the official American Red Cross online training portal, which covers:
- Adult, Child, and Infant CPR & AED
- First Aid procedures for all age groups
- Bloodborne Pathogens (OSHA-compliant)
- Choking response
- Recognizing and responding to sudden illnesses, injuries, and environmental emergencies
đź•“ The online portion is self-paced and can be completed at your convenience. Once completed, participants must print the certificate of completion and bring it to the in-person session.
Part 2: Hands-On Skills Session
After completing the online course, students must attend a scheduled skills session led by a certified Anagail instructor.
During this session, participants will practice and demonstrate high-quality:
- Adult, Child, and Infant CPR techniques (including chest compressions and rescue breaths)
- AED use for all age groups
- First Aid response for burns, bleeding, sprains, seizures, and other medical situations
- Bloodborne pathogen precautions and safe response procedures
⏱️ Duration: Approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on class size and participant experience.
Certification is issued upon successful demonstration of all required skills.
