American Heart Association Heartsaver® First Aid (Blended Learning)
The Heartsaver® First Aid Course is delivered through a blended learning format, combining a flexible online component with a hands-on, in-person skills session. This course is ideal for anyone who needs to be prepared to respond to common first aid emergencies in the workplace, at home, or in the community.
Certification:
Upon successful completion of both parts, participants will receive a Heartsaver First Aid Course Completion Card, valid for two years.
Part 1: Online Course
Participants will receive access to the official AHA online coursework, which can be completed at their own pace. After completing the online portion, students must print the certificate of completion and bring it to the in-person skills session.
Part 2: Hands-On Skills Session
After completing the online segment, students must schedule a hands-on skills assessment with one of our certified instructors. During this session, participants will demonstrate practical first-aid skills in the following areas:
- First Aid Basics
- Medical Emergencies
- Injury Emergencies
- Environmental Emergencies
The session is instructor-led and focuses on practicing the essential skills needed to recognize and respond to various first aid situations. Certification is awarded after the successful completion of the skills evaluation.
Sandy Gray –
This class was so easy to do. I did the online blended class, in which i did the classroom section on my own time, and I scheduled an appoint at Anagail Care Services for the skill section, the instructor was awesome. It took me about 45 mintures to do the skill session.
