American Heart Association Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED (Blended Learning)
The Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED Online Course is designed for individuals who need comprehensive training in both first aid and CPR/AED use. Delivered in a blended learning format, this course combines a self-paced online component with an in-person hands-on skills session.
This course is ideal for those who need certification to meet OSHA or other regulatory requirements.
Certification:
Upon completing both parts, participants will receive a Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Course Completion Card, valid for two years.
Part 1: Online Course
Participants are provided access to official AHA online coursework, which they can complete at their convenience. Once completed, students must print the certificate of completion and present it at the hands-on skills session.
Part 2: Hands-On Skills Session
After completing the online portion, students must schedule their in-person skills assessment with a certified AHA instructor. During this session, participants will practice and demonstrate:
- CPR compressions and rescue breathing
- AED use
- Choking relief techniques
- First Aid basics for medical, injury, and environmental emergencies
(for adults, children, and infants)
The session typically lasts 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the class size and participant experience. Certification is awarded upon successful completion of all required skills.
