American Heart Association Heartsaver® Pediatric First Aid CPR AED (Blended Learning)
The Heartsaver® Pediatric First Aid CPR AED Online Course provides the flexibility of digital learning with the assurance of hands-on skills practice. This blended learning course is ideal for individuals who need to respond to emergencies involving infants and children, whether at home, in childcare, or in the workplace.
Certification:
Upon successful completion of both components, participants will receive an AHA Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED Course Completion Card, valid for two years.
Who Should Take This Course?
This course is designed for anyone with limited or no medical training who requires a certification for:

Course Path Options

Heartsaver Pediatric Total – A comprehensive training path that includes all required topics for those needing to meet OSHA or other regulatory standards.
Part 1: Online Course
Students are granted access to self-paced AHA online coursework that covers pediatric first aid, CPR, AED use, and choking relief. After completing the online module, students must print their certificate of completion for entry into the skills session.
Part 2: Hands-On Skills Session
Upon completing the online course, participants will schedule their skills assessment with a certified AHA instructor. During this in-person session, students will practice and demonstrate:
- CPR compressions and rescue breathing
- AED use
- Choking relief
- Pediatric-focused first aid scenarios for medical, injury, and environmental emergencies
The session typically takes 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on class size and participant experience. Certification is issued upon successful demonstration of required skills.
